Nazko Events

Horse Pull: This event is a gathering of the traditionally minded horse loggers and ranchers from all over the Cariboo, bringing their horse teams to the ultimate challenge to see which horses can pull the most weight. Usually held 3rd week in June hosted by the Nazko Rodeo Club..

Baseball Tournament: This event combines camping at Marmot Lake campsite and fun, with teams from Nazko and Quesnel competing for the Nazko slo-pitch championship. Held the second weekend in June, it is known as one of the most fun slo-pitch tournaments in the North Cariboo.

Fishing Derby: Ice fishing derby on Marmot Lake at the beginning of March, the biggest rainbow trout’s usually up to 8 lbs.


Wagon Train: This wagon train travels from Anaheim Lake and continues down the Honolulu Road to end up in Quesnel during the Billy Barker Days. Goes through Nazko approximately 3 days before Billy Baker Days.

Halloween Bonfire/ Fireworks:
The community gets together at the Marmot Lake Park entrance next to the Library for an annual bonfire and fireworks display held on Halloween night.

Christmas Craft Fair: Crafters from Nazko and Quesnel both come to this event to sell their products, at the Community Centre.
